CSS MPT
General Science and Ability MCQs for CSS MPT
Official vs search language
FPSC’s MPT outline names this block General Abilities (60): arithmetic, algebra, geometry, logical problem-solving and mental ability. Everyday Science is listed under General Knowledge (50). Coaching sites still title the 60-mark block “GSA” and mix science into it. Practise maths/ability for the 60, and Everyday Science so either labelling is covered.
Mathematics for General Abilities
Speed arithmetic and series — the part of MPT that rewards timed MCQ practice over reading theory.
Percentages MCQs
Percentages MCQs are the most searched maths items in PPSC and FPSC one-paper tests. These samples include answers and the one-line method.
Ratio and Proportion MCQs
Ratio and proportion MCQs (direct, inverse, mixture) sit next to percentages in every general maths section. Reduce the ratio before you multiply.
Average MCQs
Average (mean) MCQs — including weighted averages and “what must the next score be” — are short arithmetic that still traps rushed candidates.
Algebra MCQs
Algebra MCQs in one-paper tests stay at linear equations, simple identities and age problems — not CSS optional mathematics.
Geometry MCQs
Geometry and mensuration MCQs cover area, perimeter, volume and angle facts at general-ability depth.
Number Series MCQs
Number series and pattern MCQs appear in the analytical / general ability portion even when the maths weight is small. Find the rule before you extend the sequence.
Time and Work MCQs
Time and work MCQs (combined work, pipes, man-days) are a standard PPSC pattern. Convert everyone to a one-day rate, then add.
Time and Distance MCQs
Time and distance MCQs (speed, trains, average speed) reward the triangle formula. Watch the units: km/h versus m/s.
Everyday Science (searched as GSA science)
Official FPSC language files Everyday Science under General Knowledge. Still drill it if you are searching for GSA MCQs.
Human Body MCQs
Human body MCQs — organs, blood, bones, glands and systems — are the core of Everyday Science in PPSC and FPSC. These samples include answers and one-liners; the full set is in the study app.
Vitamins and Nutrition MCQs
Vitamins MCQs (deficiency diseases, sources, Vitamin D from sunlight) are among the most repeated Everyday Science items. Nutrition questions on minerals and food groups sit with them.
Diseases and Medicine MCQs
Diseases and medicine MCQs cover causes, vaccines, deficiency disorders and common instruments of diagnosis. One-paper papers prefer named facts over clinical reasoning.
Physics MCQs
Physics MCQs for Everyday Science stay in daily life: units, light, heat, sound, electricity and simple machines. FPSC asks these as one-liners more than as calculations.
Chemistry MCQs
Chemistry MCQs in this portion are names and formulas from daily life — washing soda, baking soda, acids in food, rusting — not organic mechanisms.
