Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Pak Job MCQs collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. It applies to this website and to the study platform at prep.pakjobmcqs.com.

1. Who we are

Pak Job MCQs is operated under the brand name Pak Job MCQs, based in Ichhra, Lahore, Pakistan(“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at prep.pakjobmcqs@gmail.com, by phone or WhatsApp at +92 304 5932645.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data you give us

  • Account details. Your WhatsApp phone number, your name, and a five-digit PIN which we store only in hashed form. An email address is optional.
  • Google sign-in details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google account identifier and profile picture URL from Google.
  • Onboarding details. Date of birth, province, district, education level, how long you have been preparing, how many papers you have attempted, and the post you are aiming for. This is optional and is used to understand who the platform serves.
  • Profile photo. If you upload one, it is stored in cloud object storage.
  • Messages you send us. Support emails, WhatsApp messages and question reports, including their content.

2.2 Data generated by your use of the platform

  • Study activity. The questions you attempt, the options you select, whether they were correct, and how long you spent. This is what makes your evaluation, correction rate and study time possible.
  • Progress records. Your per-subject and per-topic scores, and your most recent study position so you can resume.
  • Guest activity. If you study without an account, attempts are held on your device. If you later create an account, they may be associated with it.

2.3 Data collected automatically

  • Technical data. IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page and timestamps. This is received in ordinary server logs and used for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.
  • Usage analytics. Pages viewed, features used and general interaction patterns, collected through our analytics provider to understand how the platform is used and where it is failing people.

We do not knowingly collect financial account details on this website. Where a payment is taken in future, it will be processed by a licensed payment provider and we will not store your full card details.

3. Why we use your data

  • To create and secure your account, and to verify your phone number by one-time code over WhatsApp.
  • To provide the study platform, save your progress, and generate your evaluation.
  • To let you resume your last activity and keep your progress consistent across devices.
  • To respond to your support messages and to act on the question errors you report.
  • To send service messages such as verification codes, security notices and important changes. These are not marketing.
  • To detect, investigate and prevent abuse, fraud, scraping and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To understand aggregate usage so we can improve content coverage and fix what is not working.
  • To comply with legal obligations where they apply to us.

4. Legal basis

We process your data because it is necessary to provide the service you have asked for, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving a secure platform, because you have consented in cases where consent applies (such as optional onboarding details or optional email notifications), or because we are required to by law.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share limited data with service providers who help us run the platform, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our application servers, database and website.
  • Cloud object storage for profile photos.
  • WhatsApp Business messaging (Meta) to deliver one-time verification codes to the number you provide.
  • Google where you choose to sign in with a Google account.
  • Email delivery provider for transactional email such as verification and account notices.
  • Product analytics provider for aggregate usage measurement.
  • Payment provider where you make a payment, in which case they process your payment data under their own privacy terms.

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of users, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will tell you.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside Pakistan, so your data may be stored or processed abroad. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Study and progress data is kept while it remains useful to you, since deleting it would erase your evaluation history. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain something by law.

8. Security

PINs are stored hashed and never in readable form. Access to production data is restricted to the people who need it. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify affected users of a breach where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything inaccurate — much of this you can do yourself from your account page.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Stop sending you optional notifications.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.

To exercise any of these, email prep.pakjobmcqs@gmail.com from the address or WhatsApp number associated with your account so we can verify the request. We aim to respond within thirty days.

10. Children

The platform is intended for candidates preparing for government and professional recruitment tests, and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, hold guest study progress on your device, and measure aggregate usage. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

12. Third-party links

This site links to external websites, including official commission and testing service pages. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and we will give notice of material changes through the platform.
