About the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission recruits for provincial departments across KP, and like the other provincial commissions it decides most posts on a single objective screening paper.
KPPSC papers place noticeable emphasis on Pakistan Studies and on province-specific general knowledge, alongside the standard English, Islamiat and everyday science portions.
Our Geography subject is worth attention for KP candidates: rivers of Pakistan, dams, mountains, passes, borders and provinces are the items provincial papers regularly draw on.

A preparation plan that works
- 1
Start with the heaviest subject, not the easiest
For KPPSC that usually means Pakistan Studies. Work through its topics one at a time rather than sampling questions at random.
- 2
Use past papers as your diagnostic
Practise the past-paper mode for a subject before the general mode. It shows you the level and style examiners actually use, which recalibrates how you study everything else.
- 3
Let the evaluation choose your next session
After a few sessions your topic-wise correction rates will make one weakness obvious. Go there next. Repeat until nothing is under fifty per cent.
- 4
Revise in 1-Liner mode in the final week
Do not attempt new questions the night before. Sweep whole topics in reading mode instead — it covers far more ground per hour and keeps your confidence intact.
