Surah Al Kahaf (The Cave) is the 18th chapter of the Holy Quran and contains four major stories, one of which is the story of Zulqarnain, a righteous ruler who traveled across the earth. The story describes his journeys to the west, east, and a place between two mountains where he built a barrier against Gog and Magog (Yajuj and Majuj). This Surah holds special significance and is recommended to be recited on Fridays for protection from the trials of Dajjal.
Surah Al Kahaf contains four key narratives: the story of the People of the Cave (Ashab-e-Kahf), the story of the owner of two gardens, the story of Prophet Musa (AS) and Khidr, and the story of Zulqarnain. The story of Zulqarnain appears in verses 83-98 and highlights themes of just leadership, power used in service of Allah, and the containment of Yajuj and Majuj until the appointed time.
