Quick fact: The Queen of Sheba (Bilqees) belonged to the era of Prophet Sulaiman (AS).

Explanation

The Queen of Sheba, known as Bilqees in Islamic tradition, ruled over the kingdom of Saba (Sheba) in Yemen during the time of Prophet Sulaiman (AS). Her story is mentioned in Surah An-Naml (Chapter 27) of the Holy Quran, where Prophet Sulaiman (AS) invited her to submit to Allah. She initially visited him with gifts but ultimately accepted Islam after witnessing the miracles and the grandeur of his kingdom bestowed by Allah.

Good to know

The story of Queen Bilqees and Prophet Sulaiman (AS) is narrated in Surah An-Naml, verses 20-44. The hoopoe bird (Hudhud) brought news of her kingdom to Prophet Sulaiman (AS), who then sent her a letter inviting her to Islam. The Queen's throne was miraculously brought to Sulaiman (AS) before she arrived, and she later embraced the faith of Prophet Sulaiman (AS) after seeing the glass floor of his palace which she mistook for water.
