Explanation

The Quran explicitly states in Surah Al-Ankabut (29:14) that Hazrat Noah (A.S) spent 950 years calling his people to the path of Allah. This refers specifically to the period of his preaching before the great flood, and his total lifespan may have been even longer. He is one of the five Ulul Azm (arch-prophets) and is known for his extraordinary patience and perseverance in the face of prolonged rejection by his people.

Good to know

Hazrat Noah (A.S) is the second major prophet after Hazrat Adam (A.S) and is often referred to as the "Second Adam" because humanity was repopulated through his descendants after the great flood. The Quran mentions that he built the Ark (Safina-e-Nooh) under divine instruction, and only a small number of believers, along with pairs of animals, were saved. His son and wife did not believe and were drowned. The Ark is believed to have rested on Mount Judi after the floodwaters receded.
