On which Prophet was the Zaboor revealed?

Explanation

The Zaboor is one of the four major revealed books in Islam, sent to Hazrat Dawood (A.S.). The other three are the Torah (Taurat) to Hazrat Musa (A.S.), the Gospel (Injeel) to Hazrat Isa (A.S.), and the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Belief in all revealed books is an essential part of Islamic faith (Iman-e-Mufassal).

Good to know

Hazrat Dawood (A.S.) was both a Prophet and a King of Bani Israel. The Zaboor, also known as the Psalms, contained songs of praise and wisdom. It is mentioned in the Quran, and Hazrat Dawood (A.S.) is known for his beautiful voice in reciting the Zaboor — even mountains and birds would join him in glorifying Allah.
