Explanation

Khizran (also spelled Khaizuran) was a powerful and influential queen during the early Abbasid period. She was a former slave girl from Yemen who rose to become the wife of Caliph Al Mehdi (r. 775–785 CE) and the mother of two subsequent caliphs — Al Hadi and Haroon-ur-Rashid. Her political acumen and influence in state affairs made her one of the most remarkable women in Abbasid history.
