What was the special gift given by Allah to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during the event of Miraj?

Explanation

During the miraculous night journey of Miraj, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was taken to the heavens where Allah directly ordained the five daily prayers (Namaz/Salah) upon the Muslim Ummah. Initially, fifty prayers were prescribed, but upon the advice of Prophet Musa (AS), the Prophet (PBUH) repeatedly requested reduction until it was reduced to five, with the reward of fifty. This highlights the unique and unparalleled status of Salah as the only act of worship directly commanded by Allah without any intermediary.

Good to know

The event of Miraj took place on the 27th of Rajab, approximately one year before the Hijrah. The journey comprised two parts: Isra (night journey from Masjid al-Haram to Masjid al-Aqsa) and Miraj (ascension through the seven heavens). During this journey, the Prophet (PBUH) met various prophets at different levels of heaven and was shown the wonders of Paradise and Hell before being granted the gift of five daily prayers.
