Quick fact: The last two Surahs of the Holy Quran are Surah Al-Falaq and Surah Al-Nas.

Explanation

The last two Surahs of the Holy Quran are Surah Al-Falaq (Chapter 113) and Surah Al-Nas (Chapter 114). Together with Surah Al-Ikhlas, these three are known as the Mu'awwidhat and are recited for seeking Allah's protection from various forms of evil. Surah Al-Falaq seeks refuge from the evil of creation, darkness, witchcraft, and envy, while Surah Al-Nas seeks refuge from the evil whisperings of Satan and mankind.

Good to know

The Holy Quran contains 114 Surahs in total, with Surah Al-Fatiha as the opening chapter and Surah Al-Nas as the final chapter. Surah Al-Falaq and Surah Al-Nas are both Makki Surahs consisting of 5 and 6 verses respectively. These two Surahs, along with Surah Al-Ikhlas, are collectively referred to as "Al-Mu'awwidhatayn" or the Surahs of seeking refuge, and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) frequently recited them for protection.
