Explanation

In Islamic belief, four major divine books were revealed to different prophets. The chronological order of revelation is: Tawrat (Torah) to Prophet Musa (A.S), Zabur (Psalms) to Prophet Dawud (A.S), Injeel (Gospel) to Prophet Isa (A.S), and finally the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Since Tawrat was revealed first, it is considered the oldest among the four revealed books.

Good to know

All four divine books are mentioned in the Holy Quran, and Muslims are required to believe in all of them as part of faith (Iman). The Tawrat was revealed on the 6th of Ramadan, and it originally contained guidance and light for the Children of Israel. Over time, according to Islamic belief, the original Tawrat underwent alterations, and the Quran was sent as the final and preserved revelation for all humanity.
