Explanation

Hazrat Isa (A.S), known as Jesus in Christianity, was the final prophet dispatched specifically to the Children of Israel (Bani Israel). He was sent to reaffirm the teachings of the Torah and to give glad tidings of the coming of the final messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His prophethood marked the conclusion of the long line of Israelite prophets that began with Hazrat Musa (A.S). After Hazrat Isa (A.S), no prophet was sent exclusively to Bani Israel, as the final and universal prophethood was granted to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for all of humanity.

He was given the holy book Injeel (Gospel) and performed many miracles by the will of Allah, including healing the blind and raising the dead.
