Hazrat Talha ibn Ubaydullah (R.A) was one of the Ashra Mubashra (the ten companions promised Paradise). His mother was Ruma, also known as Al-Sa'ba bint Abdullah. She was from the tribe of Quraysh and was known for her noble lineage. Hazrat Talha (R.A) was among the earliest converts to Islam and participated in several key battles, including Uhud where he famously shielded the Prophet (PBUH) with his own body.
Hazrat Talha ibn Ubaydullah (R.A) was a close companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and is counted among the Ashra Mubashra. His father was Ubaydullah ibn Uthman of the Taym clan of Quraysh, making him a relative of Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A). Hazrat Talha (R.A) was martyred in the Battle of Jamal (Camel) in 36 AH. His mother Ruma was also an early Muslim and was known for her piety.
