Explanation

Fort Al-Natata was one of the formidable fortresses of the Jews at Khyber. During the Ghazwa of Khyber in 7 AH, the Muslims laid siege to these forts. Hazrat Ali (RA) played a pivotal role in the conquest, displaying exceptional bravery and strength. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) famously declared, "Tomorrow I will give the standard to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and Allah and His Messenger love him," and the next day he handed the flag to Hazrat Ali (RA), who then led the Muslims to victory at Khyber.

Good to know

The Ghazwa of Khyber took place in the 7th year of Hijrah against the Jewish tribes who had fortified themselves in several strongholds. Khyber had multiple forts including Al-Natata, Al-Qamus, and Al-Saab. Hazrat Ali (RA), despite suffering from an eye ailment, was cured by the Prophet (PBUH) applying his blessed saliva and then went on to conquer the fort, famously lifting and using the heavy gate of the fortress as a shield during the battle.
